Soaring Kite 2016 Chardonnay

This is a real nice glass of wine, flinty, lemon butter cake and yeasty bread dough all popping out of the glass, and I love it when a wine smells as it tastes. I can’t get my head around whether this is old or new school, it’s flashy enough to be either. Super flavoursome and fully nourished, there’s packets of mid palate texture and a perfect saline like bitterness around the finish that counters it all. Ridiculously good buying, I’m sure it’ll get better in the next couple of years as well. Surprisingly good.
