Tasting Note

There’s a delicious steeliness through the palate – a profile so typical of top flight Sangiovese. A jubey sweetness follows soon thereafter and carries the length of the wine. Just as you sink into the mouth coating, generous fruit flavours, the chalky tannins rip in to give the wine structure and add a serious side to the finished product. This is a seriously enjoyable glass that pairs perfectly with a slice or bowl of tomato based pasta.

Alcohol: 14.5% vol.

Best Drinking: Drink now – the ageing has been done for you

Vineyard & Winemaking

100% Sangiovese fruit from Nat McMurtrie’s award winning single site in McLaren Vale. Fermentation took place on skins in 2 tonne fermenters with two pump-overs daily until dry. The wine was then transferred to a mix of French and American oak for 14 months to build complexity.
