Impressively dark. Complex aromas of black cherry, green bell pepper, fig jam, white pepper and spice leap from the glass – all characteristic of top-flight, cool climate Syrah. The palate is rich and generous, with ultra fine tannins. Silky and long, this deliciously smooth Syrah is a class act.

This Syrah was grown in an elevated vineyard just outside Echunga, a site widely regarded as one of Adelaide Hills’ finest. Handpicked and fermented in small open-top vats, the finished wine remained on skins for 17 days post ferment maceration before being pressed to large format french oak barrels.
Deep, saturated purple/red colour and a youthful, fresh plummy bouquet, with a discreet oak lacework. The wine is full-bodied and has a slightly gritty texture, and there are hints of aniseed with the dry finish, the wine youthful and promising to reward cellaring. Very good potential. Impressive.
Moderately dense, aromatic and yet supple and spicy shiraz with blueberry, violet and pepper flavours, plus a seasoning of spicy French oak. An attractive, fragrant, high energy wine that's accessible now but should develop extra interest with bottle age.
